I love everything in this loft except the mint green walls of the sunroom. Otherwise, this loft rocks. Occupying the top floor of a 19th-century industrial building with views of the Mississippi River, the only client requirement was that it have wood floors throughout. A common homeowner request and one that suits the vintage building. But many a lawsuit has been filed over foot traffic noise which typically telescopes to the residents below. Extra tall ceiling heights allowed the problem to be rectified with an easy fix; raising the finish floor by a foot. Not only does it solve the problem but it also creates a continuous utility chase allowing a choice in the location of the kitchen and bathrooms instead of having the existing pipes dictate the location. Well done.
