My good friend, Glo, made these beautiful Easter eggs for her family. I wish she lived here in Colorado instead of Atlanta so we could make things together. She's a talented graphic artist, seamstress, an incredible cook, and has been inspiration to me since I met her twenty-five years ago. Aren't the eggs gorgeous?

Clean Rusticity
This home was designed by the talented Russel Groves. Although filled with wood beams and stone, the simple furniture and the clean lines of the light fixtures make this home very livable without an overwhelming feel of "mountain" ~ very nice.

Colorful Obliteration
Brainchild of Yayoi Kusama for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Obliteration Room is an colorful interactive children's project consisting of the spontaneous transformation of a completely white room with simple, colored stickers. The youngest patrons were given thousands of colored dot stickers to apply at will. The result is an amazing explosion of color!

Restaurant for Kids . . . and their Parents
Praq of the Netherlands envisioned a family friendly restaurant that was not only friendly to the children but to the parents as well. Praq was so successful that what started out as one restaurant grew to a chain in five years. I took a look at their menu and I think they were family friendly on the food front as well!

I'm Loving these Stripes!
Burberry looks better to me every year. My long, elegant winter coat is my all out favorite even after more than a decade ~ and it's a Burberry. These platform shoes are great! And, oh, I could just see this striped trench being my fav spring jacket . . . wish, wish.

My Fabulous Table!
My very first furniture purchase while I was still in school is still my all time favorite item in the house. B&B Italia's steel and glass cocktail table has become a classic and it is still incredibly modern. I found these recently somewhere along the web ~ I apologize for not giving credit.

Great Bookcase Displays
Bookcases; the workhorse storage system. Unfortunately, that view is taken a bit too far with many people and they jam as much as the poor horizontal slabs can bear. But bookcases can be not only great storage, but great display, too. I'm currently working on a staging project for a sale home and these photos help drive that idea home.

New Heights
Top-Floor Loft in Minneapolis Offers Rooftop Sunroom and River Views
I love everything in this loft except the mint green walls of the sunroom. Otherwise, this loft rocks. Occupying the top floor of a 19th-century industrial building with views of the Mississippi River, the only client requirement was that it have wood floors throughout. A common homeowner request and one that suits the vintage building. But many a lawsuit has been filed over foot traffic noise which typically telescopes to the residents below. Extra tall ceiling heights allowed the problem to be rectified with an easy fix; raising the finish floor by a foot. Not only does it solve the problem but it also creates a continuous utility chase allowing a choice in the location of the kitchen and bathrooms instead of having the existing pipes dictate the location. Well done.
